OLIVIA LEE is one of the rare One Cockpit Swan 56s. Her second and current owner has sailed her for the past few years in the Caribbean for the winter and New England for the summer. He has always had a captain who maintains OLIVIA LEE to the highest standards and continually upgrades her. Ideal family or charter boat.

HULL

CONSTRUCTION

Single skin glass/aramid hybrid fiber reinforced polyester laminate.

A high portion of the fibers are unidirectional giving a stiff laminate with excellent strength and fatigue properties.

Structural bulkheads are of marine ply laminated to the hull and deck with foam strips between.

Stiffener flanges are unidirectional layups over foam cores.

Engine beds are GRP.

FINISH

Weather resistant NGA type gel coat.

White Awlgrip painted topsides.

Blue waterline stripes and cove stripe.

Bottom treated with epoxy primer when yacht was constructed for improved blistering resistance.

BALLAST KEEL

Keel is a lead casting with antimony.

Cast in keel bolts are high tensile stainless steel.

MAST STEP

Mast is stepped through the deck onto an aluminum mast step.

RUDDER

Foam filled, GRP rudder with tubular tapered stock of E-glass composite.

2 self aligning roller bearings.

Weed cutter in front of rudder.

STEERING SYSTEM

Steering sheaves have guards to prevent jamming.

Steering quadrant bolted to rudder stock.

Destroyer type stainless steel wheel with elkhide cover.

Part of the transom folds out hydraulically to form a swim platform with stainless steel ladder to the deck level.

Remote control for swim platform so platform may be raised or lowered as one approaches of leaves the yacht by dinghy.
