SWAN 411 for sale:

LIFE IS GRAND

LIFE IS GRAND is a very well maintained Swan 411. She is hull #32 of 42 built between 1977 and 1979.

When she was named ILL WIND, the previous owner had purchased her on the east coast more than 20 years ago. Aside from one Newport to Bermuda Race, ILL WIND had remained on the east coast. She had cruised to Maine, Long Island Sound and through the Chesapeake Bay. In about 2014 ILL WIND was sailed to Florida where she had been only lightly day sailed.

More than 10 years ago the teak decks were removed and replaced with painted two tone white/gray color. Her hull was painted with Awlgrip in 2016.

In December of 2020 ILL WIND was donated and then leased back to a third party when her named was changed to LIFE IS GRAND. LIFE IS GRAND was then trucked to the famed Jamestown Boat Yard in January 2021 where a new engine was installed, along with a rebuilt transmission, serviced sea cocks and some rigging work.

A change to the leaser's plans make this Swan 411 available again where more than 2 years of the lease is still available.
