SKELLUM is an ideal sailing yacht for those who prefer a deck and rig plan for short-handed sailing as well as all the creature comforts of home in the accommodations below. In addition to the extensive overhaul of electrical systems and teak deck restoration, noted below, since its purchase in 2019 the owner has made innumerable additional improvements, upgrades and repairs, large and small, designed to return SKELLUM to the use it was designed for, and that is a comfortable liveaboard cruising yacht, fully found and capable of cruising short or long distances in comfort and safety.

General Arrangement

Accommodations

Sleeps 6 in 3 separate sleeping cabins plus 2 more in the saloon for a total of 8. Teak furniture below deck. Checkerboard type cabin sole with inset black border. Alcantara “Amber Glow” upholstery.

Forward Cabin

“V” berth with filler piece and cushion. Storage under the berths. Hanging locker. Shelves port and starboard with fiddle rails

Guest Cabin

Located aft of the forward cabin on the port side. Two single bunk beds, one above the other. Ample storage. Hanging locker.

Forward Head

Located opposite the forward guest cabin and on the starboard side. Jabsco manual head.

Saloon

Located aft of the forward cabins and up a step. “L” shaped settee to port surrounding a table with foldout leaf. There is bottle storage in the table base. To starboard is a straight settee that converts to a sea berth. Tanks and batteries are located under the cabin sole. There is ample storage under each settee and throughout the saloon area.   

Navigation Station

Located off of the saloon and on the starboard side. Forward facing navigation table storage under the table lid for half folded Admiralty charts.

Utility Room

Located aft of the navigation station and on the starboard side. Space for a workstation as well as more storage. Access from the saloon and from the cockpit. Here there is engine access. The washing machine is located in this area. This room may be used as a wet locker.

Galley

Located aft of the saloon on the port side. It is a walkthrough galley to the master stateroom aft. Double stainless steel sinks inboard and near the center line. Pressure hot and cold water. Hans Grohe faucet with pull out spout. Gimbaled force 10 four burner propane stove with grill and oven. Frigomatic 12 Volt, 6.5cu ft refrigerator with front opening stainless steel door. Fridge is keel cooled. Microwave (2019).

Master Cabin

Located in the stern with access via the galley on the port side. Queen sized bunk with custom Tempurpedic mattress slightly offset to starboard. There are ample drawers and lockers. Hanging locker. Full length mirror.

Located forward of the master cabin and on the starboard side.
